In 2004, Sinapi Aba Trust in collaboration with Opportunity Transformation and Investment (OTI) of Opportunity International, USA established a non-bank financial institution (Opportunity International Sinapi Aba Savings and Loans Limited). This necessitated transfer of about half of SAT’s portfolio to this new organization resulting in the drop of client’s and loan’s portfolio in 2004 and 2005. Notwithstanding, SAT has impressively demonstrated capacity to sustain the growth within 6 months after final transfer. The impressive performance of SAT has attracted several awards from Development and International partners, notable amongst them include: AWARDS RECIEVED
