Sinapi at 30 Launched In Grand Style
Here at Sinapi Aba Savings & Loans, we are thrilled to commemorate our 30th anniversary, marking three decades of profound impact on communities and households across Ghana. Since our inception in 1994, we have been dedicated to financial empowerment and social development, touching the lives of over two million households.
The official launch of our anniversary celebrations took place at our headquarters in Nhyiaeso, Kumasi, on February 27, 2024. During the event, our Chief Executive Officer, Tony Fosu, emphasized our nationwide footprint, with 44 branches serving an active clientele exceeding 600,000. Fosu underscored that our influence transcends our direct clients, positively impacting millions of households throughout the country.
Our theme for the year-long celebration is "30 Years of Transforming Lives; Celebrating Sinapi Aba’s Impact," encapsulating our unwavering commitment to community empowerment and individual prosperity.
Distinguished guests, including Prof Mrs. Fredua Anto, graced the launch event, joined by our esteemed board members, Joseph Ebo Hewton, Anke Lukja, and Bishop Davies Freeman who participated remotely via Zoom.
During his address, Mr. Fosu highlighted our Youth Apprenticeship Program (YAP), a flagship initiative aimed at tackling youth unemployment and combating the spread of HIV/AIDS among Ghana's youth. YAP provides training and entrepreneurial opportunities for young people, equipping them with skills to generate income and contribute positively to society.
Mrs. Owusu Dabo, our Chief Programmes Officer, outlined the diverse range of activities planned for the anniversary celebration. These include a football competition, exhibitions, sanitation awareness programs, and a golf competition, which will be held concurrently across our regional offices. These events aim to engage our clients and communities in commemorating three decades of impactful service and fostering a sense of unity and celebration.
